The lithium launch is going gangbusters. This really was a great showcase for the power of industrial design.

Never trust a drawing from Illustrator:) I was working on this lacrosse stick concept using the 2009 official design guidelines. The form of the head was officially changed after numerous complaints that it was very difficult to knock balls out of the head. The new form was supposed to be more traditional, and create a more passing oriented game. However when I laid out the lines in CAD, the more modern lightbulb plan was immediately apparent. Go figure.

Quick concept. This will be done in t-splines and Rhino. I will record the sessions to put together a video tutorial.

I will be driving to Columbus OH for the holidays. Drop me a line if anyone will be in the city during the break. I probably will not be able to post during the next 2 weeks or so. So..Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you!

This is a 3D underlay in Rhino. It is somewhat like a 3D Illustrator file. Lay out some basic character lines and then take it into Photoshop and Painter, and sketch over it.

Great people I work with:

Tac has been a great teacher to me since I was an intern circa 2001. I call him "Mr Ridgid" He has a great eye for detail, and is a large part of the reason why the Ridgid power-tool design language is so powerful. That attention to detail tends to rub off (at least a little) to those who work on his projects.

Really cool inspiration from nature

This was a concept to design a car around Kathleen Edwards.
The lines are still too clean. Ms Edwards is a lot more earthy I think.
The interior would be entirely analog.
