It will be interesting if there is a trickle down. However when a feature is as prevalent as this I am inclined to ignore it. I'd feel dirty I think.
It seems like a lot of this is coming from the influence of guys like Sasha Selipanov, and especially the Citroen looks like it had at least some influence from http://senjadesignwork.blogspot.com/2008/06/5-4-3-2-1.html
